RAISE THE ROOF
This past winter the roof, original to the building, was irreparably damaged. All 27,000 sq. ft. had to be replaced this summer. Raise the Roof is an initiative to cover the cost of the new roof and retire a small debt long carried by USD Newman, ensuring a debt-free foundation to begin the next chapter of this transformational mission for our young people.

In 1964, Bishop Hoch brought to life a vision of campus ministry at the University of South Dakota. For 60 years the St Thomas More Newman Center has transformed students by facilitating friendship, offering the sacraments, encouraging prayer, and providing a place to study. Today, this visionary location sits squarely in the heart of campus activity and continues to bring Christ to the students, the students to the Church, and the Church to the world!
